LinkedIn is an American social networking website for people in professional occupations. I personally use it every day to keep up with professional mentors and colleagues as well as to post articles I think may be helpful. I even post some things I found encouragement in with hope that by sharing it will do the same for others. That being said, I try to abide by some unspoken rules that I feel are important when using this platform: 

               – Be sure to use an updated professional profile picture.

               – Keep the content professional and positive.

               – Tailor your  invites to connect wherever possible.

               – Respond when someone sends you a (genuine) message.

               – Stay away from posting about religion or politics.

               – Be sure to check your company’s social media policy before posting.

               – Remember that once posted, it’s out there for all to see!
