When we first moved to Cornelius 28 years ago, I started working at Burgess., as an Interior Designer, I found it to be the perfect place to pull a home together. Today, 28 years later, it has just gotten better. Saturday was the Grand Opening of Accents Prone, which specializes in selling Furniture, Home Accents, Gifts, and more. I went early and loved what they had done to the building and what they were selling.

From a new outfit, finished with jewelry, to a new family room with all furniture, finished with hanging art and other unique accessories. If you can’t find the perfect carpet at Accent Prone, walk next door and see Benjamin at Burgess Flooring. They have it all.

If you love the sofa you found but not the fabric, walk over to Modern Fabrics and talk with either Ewa Powell or Debra Worthy. They have thousands of fabrics and many selections to choose from. If you are not sure what you are looking for, ask. They are there to help and are happy to do so.

Do you have a sense of humor and live on the lake? Do you have a small sitting room and need a sitting area when you feel like going and jumping in the lake? One of the best ways to shop at a store such as Accent Prone is to let your heart fall in love with items and then see how you can pull them all together.

When shopping for furniture, if you have a floor plan of the room, bring it. If not, get the measurements and tape out the pieces in question, like a sofa and coffee table, when you get home. Or see if they provide that service.
