Finding Normie Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Mooresville
Tesa Jones
All Ages Invited!
Let the Adventure Begin . . .
Thirty-four businesses in Downtown Mooresville are participating in the Second Annual “Find Normie Scavenger Hunt.” Join the fun and find “Normie” the Lake Norman Monster. This creative event runs through the entire month of June. All ages are invited.
Fun for Everyone!
Those who participated last year KNOW – this is a blast and a great way to get to know Mooresville’s businesses PLUS have a great time. Families searched together – teens made a date of it – grandparents enjoyed their grandkids. Some people did it alone – others searched in groups. No matter how you play – it’s a terrific summer activity, a fabulous way to explore Downtown Mooresville AND you win a chance at a significant Grand Prize too.
How to Play
Pick up a “Normie Tracker” flyer at Fred & June’s Books (248 N. Main St) or at any of the participating businesses
Stop by any or ALL of the 34 participating businesses to find a hidden Normie and get your Normie Tracker stamped or initialed.
Date of Event: From June 1st to June 30th
How to WIN
Finisher Prizes: Every person who visits all 34 participating businesses in Downtown Mooresville and turns in the completed Tracker to Normie Headquarters at Fred & June’s Books will receive a Normie bookmark and sticker as a “Finisher prize” and will be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing.
$5 in Normie Bucks Tier: Visit at least 17 businesses to earn $5 in Normie Bucks – good toward a future purchase at Fred & June’s Books – plus a silly sticker of your choice!
GRAND PRIZE: One lucky winner will be drawn from those participants who visited ALL 34 businesses and got his/her tracker stamped. This Grand Prize includes an assortment of gift cards from beloved Downtown Mooresville businesses.
Fred & June’s Books in partnership with local author Amy Myers and her husband Matt Myers organized this wonderful event.
Important Additional Information
Completed Trackers must be submitted to Normie Headquarters at Fred & June’s Books by June 30th. Although ALL ages are encouraged to join the fun, prize packs must be claimed by individuals who are 18 years old or older – in other words – to claim a prize – children must be accompanied by adults.
“This isn’t just a scavenger hunt,” says Stephen Hayes, owner of Fred & June’s Books. “It’s a way to celebrate our town’s unique identity, get people exploring new spots and have a blast doing it.”
