The LKNConnect Front Porch Report w/ Cristin Dorninger:
- LKN Front Porch Report
If you’ve ever read one of my posts, you may have noticed that I almost always end the same way: A little bit every day.
It’s not a signature. It’s a reminder—for you, and honestly, for me too.
We live in a world that celebrates big wins, overnight success, and instant transformation. But real life doesn’t usually work that way. Healing doesn’t. Growth doesn’t. Strength doesn’t. Most meaningful change happens quietly, steadily, and often unnoticed—one small step at a time.
A little bit every day is an invitation to stop overwhelming yourself with everything you think you should be doing and start focusing on what you can do—today.
A little bit of exercise.
Not a marathon. Not a perfect routine. Just moving your body in a way that honors where you are right now.
A little bit of love.
For others, yes—but especially for yourself. Grace counts. Rest counts. Saying “I did my best today” counts.
A little bit of reaching out.
A text. A call. A smile. Connection doesn’t have to be grand to be meaningful.
A little bit of knowledge.
Learning one thing. Reading one page. Being open to growing without pressure.
A little bit of humor.
Because laughter lightens the load, sometimes surviving the day deserves a smile.
A little bit of prayer or faith.
However that looks for you. Trusting that you are not walking alone, even when the path feels uncertain.
A little bit of gratitude.
Not for everything—but for something. Gratitude shifts perspective and reminds us that even hard days hold moments of good.
A little bit of believing.
Believing that small efforts matter. Believing that progress doesn’t have to be loud to be real. Believing that you are becoming, even when you feel stuck.
Here’s the truth: all of this adds up.
When you do a little bit every day, you build momentum. You build resilience. You build a life that moves forward—not all at once, but steadily. One day becomes a week. A week becomes a season. A season becomes a story of strength you didn’t realize you were writing.
You don’t pick the fruit the same day you plant the seed. But if you water it a little bit every day, growth happens—even when you can’t see it yet.
So if today feels heavy, do less—but do something. Show up imperfectly. Take one small step. Give yourself permission to grow at your own pace.
Because a little bit every day doesn’t just change your habits—it changes your life.
A little bit every day.
