Every three months the Lake Norman Small Business Network organizes a community blood drive with OneBlood. There will be two Big Red Buses parked in front of the store at the Antiquity Harris Teeter, 21720 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, NC 28031.
The door is open. Stop by and give blood on Thursday 8/19/2021
OneBlood welcomes donations from donors 16 years old and older. (Note: 16-year-old donors must present a signed permission form from their parent or guardian before the donation.)
There is a common misconception that accident victims are the patients who use the most blood. In fact, patients who need blood the most include those being treated for cancer, undergoing orthopedic surgeries, undergoing cardiovascular surgeries, and patients being treated for inherited blood disorders. There will be two buses at Harris Teeter Antiquity Cornelius: one for giving Whole Blood and one for giving platelets (apheresis).

You can donate platelets every 7 days. This donation takes longer than the whole blood donation, but provides lifesaving platelets. There will be an apheresis (platelet donation) bus at the Harris Antiquity blood drive. There are 6 appointments available. If you do not see any appointments on the following link, do not assume the appointment schedule is full. You can have a “walk-in” appointment for this donation.

All donors will receive a OneBlood Beach Towel AND a $20 eGift Card (depending upon availability, you get to choose from many great retailers).
As of August 1st, all blood donors must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. One will be provided if you don’t have one. All donors are required to show ID.
All donors also receive a wellness checkup including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse, and cholesterol screening.
OneBlood delivers blood to hospitals in our area 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
