Advertising, Marketing, Videography and Connecting Local Businesses with the Community
- LKNConnect & Associates
This past year has been financially challenging for so many; especially not-for-profit organizations. Greater demands for services, strained budgets, and dwindling donations, have many charities thinking creatively. Their marketing, donor engagement and fundraising have shifted. Organizers are working diligently to fulfill their missions and they need our help.
The Charlotte area has over 150,000 veterans and dozens of organizations who are passionate about helping our military. We are a highly patriotic community who love to show our support. Bryan and Kate Holliday are two of those community members, who work tirelessly to make a difference. (Bryan is show in the feature photo above.)
They started, Tee Off For A Veteran Golf Tournament, in 2009. In 11 years, Tee Off For A Veteran has generated over $130,000 with 100% of the proceeds being donated to local organizations that assist military veterans and their families.
When asked what the driving force behind this event is, Bryan said:
“We wanted to help Veterans locally! We have several friends and family members that served and wanted to help those who served our country! What we do is such a small part of the big picture!”
The 12th Annual Tee Off For A Veteran Golf Tournament, with presenting sponsor, BestCo, will be a 2 separate events on September 18 & 19! Held at Warrior Golf Club at Lake Wright, a Semi-Private, 18-hole golf course located in China Grove, North Carolina. The events are rain or shine! The money raised will be given to Welcome Home, Veterans at Richard’s Coffee Shop, The Exchange Club of Mooresville / Lake Norman, Saving Grace K9’s, and Soul to Sole Connection. These local organizations are dedicated to our veterans in a multitude of ways.
Each day is a separate tournament with a “clean slate.” Saturday’s tournament is currently full! You can still register for Sunday’s event via the online registration. The cost is $100. This includes your participation gift, golf, range balls, cart, premium catered lunch, door prize entry, player gift bag, post round awards and prize drawings. There will also be Mulligans, Stroke Shaving games and a 50-50 Drawing! Each day will have its own Silent Auction. The “premier auction items” will be available for bidding on both days. Bryan and Kate’s goal is to have 288 golfers and raise over $30,000!
You are welcome to donate door prizes, or auction items. Ever donation makes an impact, so please donate via Venmo at “TOFAV21”. There are also sponsorship levels still available.
Bryan and Kate Holliday’s commitment impacts our veteran’s lives in countless and untold ways. Your generosity ensures continued support to those who have given so much for our freedom. A sincere thank you to all involved in the Tee Off For A Veteran Gold Tournament.
