It’s Christmastime and while “visions of sugar-plums” may dance in our heads, most adults worry about what those sweet treats may do to our hips and waistlines, not only from Christmas present but also from all those delicious things we may have eaten in Christmases past.

Melissa Lynch—RN, BSN, MBA, and owner of the Body Electric Rejuvenation Center—in Cornelius wants to help you. The Center offers a menu of services for pain/therapy, fitness/detox, beauty/esthetics, and facials/body services.

Body Electric’s most popular service is the vampire facial which has been popularized by Kim Kardashian West. It also offers the vampire facelift and breast lift. Blood is drawn from the patient, isolated to provide the platelet-rich plasma, and then injected into facial areas, such as under the eyes and forehead, to regain tone, tightness, and color. The difference between the facial and the facelift is an injection of hyaluronic acid filler to add a natural collagen scaffold, prior to the platelet-rich plasma injections, for a more youthful, lifted face.

Clients range in age from the mid-40s to 60+. Melissa encourages both men and women to start facial treatments in their mid-30s as a preventative measure.

“I’m excited about non-surgical, non-drug technology that really works.”—Melissa Lynch

Pain/Therapy Services

Melissa loves to see people get better, live pain-free, and regain their confidence. The ARP Wave Neurotherapy, a patented electrical stimulation device, can identify the origins of an injury or pain and then expedite healing and pain reduction. It is FDA approved to decrease muscle spasms, increase blood circulation, recover range of motion, and prevent atrophy. Dr. Ryan S. Conrad is also available to help with neurological evaluations and recommend treatment programs.

Fitness/Detox

Red light therapy is collagen stimulation for the whole body. It is a patented light originally developed by NASA. The light breaks up the fat cells which are later passed from the body. Melissa says this procedure is a guaranteed waist buster that helps people lose up to 2.5” in a single session. There are no side effects. To get the most out of the treatment, she recommends six sessions, some baseline blood tests, and some nutritional adjustments prior to your first session. (No, you don’t have to become vegan! She recommends limiting alcohol, eating clean food, and using gentle supplements.) Everyone who has participated in the program has lost weight. Some people lose more than others; an average weight loss is 37 pounds over ten weeks. The price for this service ranges from $1,200 to $3,000, depending upon the number of sessions and testing involved.

She also recommends the MPS RHACE Bike to enhance weight loss. This radiant-heat-aided cardio exercise promotes heavy spontaneous perspiration. Think bicycle in a sauna. The heat leads to a rapid warming up without any difficulty in breathing during the exercise. It strengthens the immune system, stimulates the release of unwanted fat, and increases the body’s metabolism.
