Building Their Homes for the Holidays

Did you know that the Charlotte Region ReStores are more than just the best thrift stores in town? As a fundraising arm of Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region, proceeds from the Charlotte Region ReStores are used to help build and repair homes for hard-working families right here in the Lake Norman Area.

Kameron and her daughter and Amber and her son are home for the holidays.

New homes in Mooresville

The townhomes on E. Mills Avenue in downtown Mooresville are a splendid example of how shopping at the ReStore makes “Home for the Holidays” a reality. Thanks to generous donations and purchases at the Cornelius and Mooresville stores, we were able to help fund the construction of these beautiful townhomes. Now, Amber, and her son, as well as Kameron and her daughter, will be celebrating the holidays as brand-new homeowners in Mooresville!

Changing lives

“I go by every Friday to check on my house and I can see the finish line,” Kameron said as the townhomes were being built. And her daughter Zhavia, who is now two, will have her own room with plenty of room to play inside, with the shade of a large tree that stands in front of the townhomes to play under outside.
