Looking to celebrate a special occasion?

Try the newly opened Peninsula Prime Seafood & Steakhouse!

My husband Tony and I LOVE to go out to eat and last Friday, we wanted some place new to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We had heard the buzz about Peninsula Prime and just had to try it out!

Reservations required

At this time, they are not taking walk-ins. Whether you use the link on their website or the Resy app, the system is not hard — but they are popular, so make your reservation in advance! We typically eat early so the 5 to 6 pm hour was a breeze to get a reservation.

Nice new decor

New lighting, color scheme, and re-upholstered booths give Peninsula Prime an updated look.

Let’s start the celebration with some bubbly!

We started with a glass of Prosecco and then shared the Shrimp & Avocado appetizer. The shrimp was seasoned beautifully, the crispy fried avocado was amazing and the jalapeno crema had just the right amount of heat & spice!

If you are going to have a meal, it should come in courses!

Our second course was a Roasted Beet Salad for me and a Caesar Salad for Tony. Tony enjoyed his Caesar — he said it was classic! The beet salad was a mouth-watering experience! I had never tasted beets paired with oranges. Exquisite! Really, you must try it!

Roasted Beet Salad with Artisan greens – Roasted Beets – Orange Segments – Toasted Walnuts, Cotija Cheese – Shallots – Orange Champagne Vinaigrette.

Yes they have seafood, but you must order steak!

Tony and I love a good steak and Peninsula Prime is just what it’s name says “Prime!” I ordered the 12 oz. Prime Ribeye and Tony ordered the 16 oz. Prime Ribeye. The major difference between the two is the thickness of the steak. Both of our steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and they were excellent! There is truly nothing like a prime grade steak. It was well-worth the money. We enjoyed a glass of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir with the steak. A great pairing. Their wine by the glass is excellent and they also have great list by the bottle.

My 12 oz. Prime Ribeye cooked to medium, exactly the way I like it!

Yes, there were sides

I ordered the Corn Risotto and Tony ordered the Roasted Broccoli and Shallots. I love a good risotto and this one was delicious. The broccoli was great too.

Sadly, we did not save room for dessert

So we will have to go again another time. It was a lovely evening filled with delicious food & drink.
