In 2021, LKNConnect will feature outstanding non-profits and service organizations in the Lake Norman community. Margi Kyle, Director of Non-Profits at LKNConnect and Founder of Little Smiles NC, will be sharing these great organizations with you. — EH Stafford, Managing Editor

What would happen to your pets, if something happened to you?

That’s exactly what Leah Henrichsen was thinking when she came up with the idea for a new non-profit, Animal City Haven. This organization is at its beginning stages, completing non-profit status forms and forming its board of directors. The purpose of this new group is to help pet owners leave written (and legal) instructions about where and to whom their pets will go if they die or become incapacitated. Ultimately, the group aims to provide transportation and/or foster services for pet “orphans”. LKNConnect’s Director of Non-profits Margi Kyle interviews Henrichsen on what her new organization is all about — see the interview below.
