Welcome
Spring is a time of new beginnings. Here at LKNConnect.com, I would like to be the first to welcome Hanna Schoenrock as our new managing editor. She started with us in February and will take the reins of our editorial content and calendar as of April.
Hanna Schoenrock
Comes to us from WriteWell Services, which she founded in 2014, and is working as its managing director. WriteWell Services provides a variety of social media strategy and management, from total account takeovers to hourly consulting.
Hanna also writes and edits website content, marketing material, articles, bios, and blogs, which makes her the ideal candidate for managing editor. Seasonally, she coaches high school seniors on college application essays.
Prior to founding WriteWell Services, Hanna was a high school English teacher and worked in publications at SAS Institute as an Acquisitions Editor. She graduated with a BA in English from Carolina and an MS in Technical Communication from NC State.
Hanna moved to Denver, NC, in 2010 with her husband Jason and three children. Her two boys are students at Appalachian State University, and her daughter lives in Raleigh and works in marketing. Hanna is very excited to join the fabulously talented team at LKNConnect.

I started at LKNConnect as a reporter and features writer in October 2018. In March 2019, I was thrilled to be promoted to managing editor. Two years has flown by. Working with our featured columnists, recruiting new writers, editing both print and video articles, and working closely with our founder/publisher Doug Fitzgerald as well as all of the LKNConnect team has been an amazing experience.
Most of all, it has been a joy to be a part of the Lake Norman community and to feature the people, businesses, and places that make this community a wonderful home. Thank you!
For my new beginning, I am shifting my focus from editing to writing a novel about time travel that has been percolating in my mind for several years now. I will still be writing the occasional article and sharing my favorite recipes, but I am delighted to have such an excellent editor/writer as Hanna take my place.
