Quite often, Karen and I love to enjoy some good Chinese food. Back in the day, when I was growing up in the area, the only place to get some Chinese food was the Oriental Restaurant on Independence Blvd. in Charlotte. I can still see the Koi in the pond as you enter the dining area.
On a regular basis, we visit China II in Denver. We do it for several reasons. The main reason is the delicious food selections and hospitality. It is located at 116 NC-16, Denver, NC., in the strip mall behind Goodwill’s. While they have inside seating, we generally get takeout with the lunch special for the value. Get this: the servings are so large we regularly make two meals off our order.
We always add four egg rolls to our order. Two for the dinner meal and the other two for lunch the next day. See the photo below showing the two meals we picked up. The second photo shows what half of the order looked like. I had that for dinner and had about the same amount for lunch the next day.
Now for the good part. The bill for the two meals, including drinks and four egg rolls, was $27.01. Think about it, great Chinese meals for only $6.75 each. (Four meals)
