Restaurant Reviews – Firebirds Wood Fired Grill

Need a place to entertain out-of-town guests?

My dear friend, who I traveled and worked with for over 20 years, and her husband came this weekend for a visit. Deb and I worked for Hunter Douglas and traveled the world. I told her I wanted a great visit, but we were going out for dinner. I didn’t want to miss a minute of friendship with both. My first question to them was, have you ever been to Firebirds?

They came from the Clearfield/Pittsburg area, and there is a Firebird in Cranberry TWP, PA—their favorite restaurant ever! I called our Firebirds at 16641 Birkdale Commons Parkway, Huntersville, NC, and made a reservation. Their number is 980-399-6999. We both enjoy the food and dining experience that Firebirds has created.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is located in Huntersville near Birkdale Village next to Hickory Tavern and First Watch. They are an American Restaurant and Steakhouse known for its scratch kitchen, bold flavors, and inviting atmosphere.

Our waitress was in her second week of training and is doing very well.

Madison Ritter has worked for Firebirds for several weeks and loves being in the area.

They have a variety of seating available, and I love a cozy booth!

Our drink order first!

I had their house Cabernet Sauvignon, Tim had the house chardonnay, which was delicious and comes in two different sizes: a 5 oz and 8 oz pour, and Deb had their famous Pineapple Martini.

A toast to friendships and Great Drinks and Food!

Check out my interview with the manager. (Sorry for the audio; we will do better next time)

What did we order for dinner?

I have always ordered the Grilled Tenderloin Salad. I love it because I no longer eat beef unless I go out for dinner. Also, I’m not particularly eager to cook fish in my kitchen, so I ordered the grilled salmon salad, which was delicious and what I needed.

The salmon was beautifully cooked, and I loved the salad. I love blue cheese, and it didn’t come with it. I ask, and they deliver—great choice!!!

Deb had Grilled Tenderloin Salad.

The perfect size and price.

As for Tim- he was hungry and ordered the Three-Course Dinner for $39.95

Grilled Salmon and Shrimp! He loved every bite and still saved room for Dessert!

Tim ordered dessert because it came with the meal. Deb and I ordered it because we “only” had salads, and we decided to split it!

In addition to the awesome selections, Firebirds offers Bar Bites from 4:00 to 6:30, Monday through Friday, in the Firebar and on the patio. You can also join them ALL DAY every Wednesday for Drink Specials throughout the restaurant. Last, they offer Shared Plates available in the Firebar and on the patio.

Check it out for yourself. You should find something that fits your taste.
