Fantasy Football Week 2

Week 2 NFL Season

The most important thing to remember after week 1 is to not overreact to a player’s performance whether good or bad.  Continue to monitor player usage to see who gets the most carries in the running game (e.g., Tony Pollard versus Tyjae Spears) and who leads in targets in the passing game (e.g., Nico Collins versus Stefon Diggs versus Tank Dell).

One player worth picking up is tight end Isaiah Likely of the Baltimore Ravens.  The Ravens have only one quality wide receiver, Zay Flowers, which makes tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely the next best options in the passing game, especially in the red zone.

Week 2 Selections Versus the Point Spread

Buffalo Bills (+2.0) at Miami Dolphins

A great early divisional matchup.  This game is a tossup, but I will go with Bills QB Josh Allen who owns the Dolphins.

Houston Texans (-6.5) vs. Chicago Bears

Both teams have decent defenses, but the difference is on offense.  Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams passed for only 93 yards last week.  This is the home opener for the Texans who have multiple offensive weapons.

Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Eagles looked more like the first half Eagles of last season against the Packers in week 1.  RB Saquan Barkley adds another diverse weapon.  Expectations are high for the Falcons, but they severely disappointed in week 1 against the Steelers.
