Changes continue at the QB position. The New York Giants announced that QB Daniel Jones has been demoted to third string and third string QB Tommy DeVito will start this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. DeVito started six games last season as an undrafted rookie and went a surprising 3 – 3. The Giants are playing for the first pick in the draft and will have a new QB next season. Start DeVito only out of desperation.
It did not take long for the Indianapolis Colts to bench QB Joe Flacco and return to Anthony Richardson as the starting QB. Richardson had a very respectable game in week 11 against the New York Jets. However, his problem is consistency. His rushing ability does provide upside.
The Chicago Bears offense played much better under new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown. The biggest difference in the offense was allowing QB Caleb Williams to use his legs as he ran for 70 yards. The offense was also much more balanced between running and passing. This bodes well for Bears players moving forward.
After all the talk about the Denver Broncos transitioning from RB Javonte Williams to Audric Estime, it was Williams who led the running backs touches and production in week 11. Maybe all the talk was Coach Sean Payton trying to motivate Williams. Be cautious of this situation.
RB Raheem Mostert has been phased out of the Miami Dolphins RB rotation as Jaylen Wright has assumed primary backup RB duties. Mostert is dealing with an injured hip so he can be dropped from your roster. De’Von Achane is the clear top RB in Miami including goal line carries.
The Carolina Panthers have activated RB Jonathan Brooks. Brooks was considered by many to be the top RB coming out of college. It will be interesting to see how he will be used since the Panthers recently signed RB Chuba Hubbard to a contract extension. Hubbard has been unspectacular but solid this season.

Week 11 Record: 2 – 1 Season Record: 16 – 17
Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5) at Cleveland Browns
The Steelers could be in for a letdown after their huge win against the Baltimore Ravens and traveling on a short week. However, their defense is too strong and the Browns are struggling. Take the visitors and give the points.
Philadelphia Eagles (-3.0) at Los Angeles Rams
The Eagles have won six straight games, and their offense is a challenge for defenses as they can run and pass equally well. The Rams’ young defense has been getting better each week, but the Eagles will be too much to handle. Again, take the visitors and give the points.
Los Angeles Chargers (+3.0) vs. Baltimore Ravens
A great matchup. The Chargers’ defense finally gave up more than 20 points to the Bengals last week while the Ravens suffered a tough loss to the Steelers. QB Justin Herbert has been playing exceptionally well and the Ravens are susceptible to the pass. This game will be close so take the home team and the points.
