Every Saturday, LKNConnect introduces you to one special rescue pet searching for something every animal deserves—a safe, loving forever home.
Some pets lose their families because of illness or the passing of an owner. Others find themselves in rescue through circumstances beyond their control. Whatever brought them here, their next chapter can be filled with love, comfort and companionship.
That’s the purpose behind LKNConnect Rescue Pet of the Week.
Working closely with AnimalCity and Piedmont Animal Rescue, we share the stories of remarkable rescue animals with the Lake Norman community in hopes of making that one important connection—the person or family who sees a face, reads a story and says, “That’s the one.”
Whether it’s a dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, bird or another deserving companion animal, every featured pet has one thing in common: they’re waiting for someone to love.
This week, we’d like you to meet Esme. And we have a feeling she just might steal your heart.
Mini is an 8-year-old sweetheart who’s searching for the one thing she wants most—a family to love forever. She adores cuddles, enjoys leisurely walks, and is happiest just being by your side.
She’s house-trained, knows basic commands, gets along with big and small dogs, has lived peacefully with cats, and will even let you know when it’s time to eat or go outside. She’s the kind of loyal companion who asks for so little and gives so much in return.
Mini has so much love left to give. Could you be the one to give this precious girl the forever home she deserves? ❤️🐾
