NON-PROFITS: Kids in Seats – “Changing Lives, One Ticket at a time”!

Kids in Seats, Inc is new to The Lake Norman Area, but has been in effect for over the past 12 years.

Kids in Seats is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes achievement in disadvantaged youth by using event experiences as motivational tools. To help recognize and reward their academic achievement and positive social behavior.

After talking to the Vice President/COO of Kids in Seats, Rae Anne Mclaughlin. I learned she has been working on changing our world through the eyes of children. Giving them opportunities and experiences, they normally would not have the chance to encounter.   

Over the past 12 years, the KIS (Kids In Seats) staff has incentivized more than 170,000 youth with event tickets valued at more than $10 million. That is impressive and such a life changing experience for so many KIS.

Kids in Seats, or KIS, works directly with hundreds of social service agencies and schools nationwide.

KIS plays a vital supporting role in their efforts by sourcing tens of thousands of premier sporting and cultural event experiences each year. Allocating them, free of charge, so they can be used as positive reinforcement tools with deserving kids.

KIS’s efforts to solicit and match event experiences with social service agencies and schools as incentives for their youth population is a simple mission, with amazing results.

KIS earn these experiences by reaching goals set by their mentor or teacher.  

The reward may be recognition for improved academic performance, changed social behavior or community work. The feeling of being rewarded for a behavior modification or a tough goal reached,  also incentivizes them to set greater goals for themselves. Over time, their repetitive positive behavior helps to develop useful character habits. Increases their discipline, determination, and perseverance.

A new Non-profit for the Lake Norman Area — that will be a Life Changing Experience for many Children!
