Every Saturday, LKNConnect introduces you to one special rescue pet searching for something every animal deserves—a safe, loving forever home.
Some pets lose their families because of illness or the passing of an owner. Others find themselves in rescue through circumstances beyond their control. Whatever brought them here, their next chapter can be filled with love, comfort and companionship.
That’s the purpose behind LKNConnect Rescue Pet of the Week.
Working closely with AnimalCity and Piedmont Animal Rescue, we share the stories of remarkable rescue animals with the Lake Norman community in hopes of making that one important connection—the person or family who sees a face, reads a story and says, “That’s the one.”
Whether it’s a dog, cat, rabbit, hamster, bird or another deserving companion animal, every featured pet has one thing in common: they’re waiting for someone to love.
This week, we’d like you to meet Rocky: He will steal your heart
Rocky is a happy little guy who’s always ready for some fun! He loves playing “catch me if you can” with his foster siblings and has plenty of playful puppy energy.
Once playtime is over, Rocky is all about the cuddles. He loves snuggling up for a good nap before he’s ready to do it all over again.
Play, cuddle, repeat. Rocky is ready to find his forever family and start his next adventure! ❤️

LKNConnect is proud to work with AnimalCity and Piedmont Animal Rescue, two organizations committed to giving rescue pets the second chances they deserve.
Through their rescue, foster and adoption efforts, these organizations help animals in need find the safety, care and loving homes they deserve.
Through LKNConnect Rescue Pet of the Week, we’re helping bring their work—and, most importantly, their wonderful animals—to the attention of the Lake Norman community.
Together, we’re hoping to make that one special connection that changes everything.
This week, that connection could be Remi and/or Rocky
Piedmont Animal Rescue
If you believe Ginny could be the perfect addition to your family, contact AnimalCity to learn more about the adoption process or to schedule a visit.
Not everyone can adopt a pet—but everyone can help save one.
Together, the Lake Norman community can help more rescue pets find the loving homes they deserve.
Because every pet deserves a second chance… and every forever home begins with a single introduction.
At LKNConnect, we believe communities are built through connections—not only between people and local businesses, but also between people and the pets who need them most.
Every adoption changes two lives: the life of a rescue pet and the life of the family who welcomes them home.
We hope you’ll join us every Saturday as we introduce another remarkable rescue pet searching for a forever home.
Together, let’s create more happy endings—one pet at a time.
