Are you an animal lover and truly believe that your pet is a cherished member of your family? If so, ALOHA Veterinary Hospital is the perfect place for you and your furry family members.
This wonderful facility at the corner of Perth Rd and Stumpy Creek Rd in Mooresville is a full-service, modern animal veterinary hospital that provides general medical care, emergency services, preventative care and surgical services for your beloved pet.
Just ask the Staff and the Patrons
When you enter the building, you and your pet are immediately greeted with smiles from Tiffany Jones and Jayme Johnson.
“I love working here and I learn new things every day,” says Tiffany Jones. “Plus my son loves to come in and play with the birds.”
The employees have nothing but positive praise for their jobs, their boss, their love of animals and ALOHA!
“It’s such a positive, happy place filled with energy,” says Trish, “Everyone is like family, OHANA! We treat people and their pets, the way we would like to be treated. It’s an open and honest place where you can grow and be yourself.”
“The staff is amazingly professional, warm, caring and compassionate,” says Ginny Minarik. “We could not be more pleased with everyone at ALOHA and we give them our highest recommendation.”
“I am happy to have found Aloha Veterinary Hospital,” says Barbara Preston. “The staff and Dr. Mori are very knowledgeable and take time to explain my older dog’s needs. Even with a move to Lincolnton, I still bring Rolex to see the Aloha group.”
“We have lived in Mooresville for 13 years. Tally is our 3rd dog in North Carolina. We have had several vets – by far – our favorite is Aloha,” says the Sharars about their one-year-old Tally’s experience at the ALOHA. “The doctors, the vet techs, the auxiliary staff are all so warm, welcoming and totally professional.”
Side note from this reporter . . . In addition to all of the high praise I have discovered while writing this article — next time you stop by ALOHA – be sure to check out their bathroom! It’s IMPRESSIVE!
ALOHA is not just about Cats and Dogs
Aloha doctors also treat exotic animals including chickens, ducks, geese, mice, guinea pigs, snakes, hamsters, pigs, lizards, some big cats, turtles, emus and recently a couple of baby possums that were found on the side of the road (their mother had died.)

“The standard at our practice is to treat with affection, compassion, peace, mercy and love,” says owner Dr. Masako Mori. “We provide individualized treatment focused on our patients and improving the bond between owners and their beloved animals. We dream big, love what we do, take risks, work hard, and don’t stop learning,”
ALOHA’s Story
As a child and young girl, Dr. Masako Mori loved animals and dreamed BIG. She earned her BS in Zoology from Washington State University and completed her education – earning a Veterinary degree — at Iowa State University Veterinary College. With degrees in hand, she worked for seven years in the suburbs of Chicago at an all exotic practice. Dr. Mori is a USDA Accredited Veterinarian, Speaker at the Illinois State Veterinarian Medical Association, a respected trainer and authored a Chapter in the Veterinary Clinics of North America: Exotic Animal Practice.
In 2010, Dr. Mori and her husband Ray Schluete moved to Mooresville. Dr Mori states, “It immediately felt like home.” She worked at Carolina Veterinary Specialist in Huntersville as an emergency doctor. That is where she met Dr. Katy Boger (who is one of the four doctors at ALOHA)
In 2020, Dr. Mori realized the biggest dream of her life when she started her own veterinary hospital. Her dream of creating ALOHA veterinary hospital “is not one of self-service but a deep desire to better serve this wonderful, warm community that has made my family feel at home.”
