Nothing bundt Cakes
If you have a “sweet tooth” – then Mooresville’s newest bakery – Nothing Bundt Cakes — is for YOU!
Grand Opening in Mooresville
Owners Jim & Tia Davis and John & Sue Gilbert hosted NOTHING bundt CAKES Grand Opening on January 26th. Even the dreary weather could not keep the shoppers away. The store’s motto is “Bring the JOY!” and JOY showed up for the event.
Flocks of people arrived at 11:00 in time for the preliminary speeches and the ribbon cutting – even some unexpected sunshine made an appearance.
Handcrafted Bundt Cakes
Bundt cakes are this bakery’s creative specialty and they are baked fresh DAILY on-site. The recipe uses only the finest ingredients. These cakes are perfect for any and all occasions – including weddings.
The cakes come in a variety of sizes — a regular sized bundt cake, tiered bundt cakes, a single serving size called a “Bundtlet” – which is the perfect size for an individual who wants an impromptu delicious treat. Plus — they also come in the form of “bundtinis” which are bite-sized and sold by the dozen.
When it comes to flavors, there is a wide variety from which to choose: Classic Vanilla, Carrot, Confetti, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Lemon, Red Velvet, Snickerdoodle, Strawberries & Cream and White Chocolate Raspberry. All flavors are scrumptious and unique; however, it is the signature cream cheese frosting – which is made with real cream cheese and butter – that makes each bite deliciously memorable.
Seasonal Featured Flavors
Although there are nine standard flavors available every day, there are additional flavors that are offered seasonally. Be sure to ask each time you go to Nothing Bundt Cakes – what is the special flavor of this season?
Keep in mind that Valentine’s Day is coming. As General Manager Lauren Swain says, “Be sure to get a treatie for your sweetie!”
The Bundlet is a great gift for your special sweetheart!
At $5.50, the Bundtlet is a delicious bargain. In addition, the bakery has cards and small gifts in stock too.
Mooresville is Growing
Kirk Ballard, Mooresville/South Iredell County Chamber of Commerce President, was also at the Grand Opening event to help cut the ribbon.

“Mooresville is the fastest growing small town in North Carolina,” says Kirk Ballard. “To date – in 2024 –twenty-six NEW businesses have opened their doors,” Ballard adds with elation. “That is one new business a day so far this year!” At this rate, Mooresville will break last year’s record of 324 new businesses in 2023.
Mooresville is a Popular Place to Live
In 2023, Mooresville residents celebrated the town’s 150th birthday. Did you know that in 1873 – when the town of Mooresville was “founded”/incorporated — the population was only 25!
Facts from the 2020 Census show that the population of the two Mooresville zip codes has grown tremendously. At the time of the last recorded Census, zip code 28115 – home of 41,386 — was the 64th most populated zip code in North Carolina. Out of a total of 834 North Carolinian zip codes, 28117 was the 38th most populated in the entire state with 47,574 people.
Today — if the two zip codes are added together — the population of Mooresville is over 100,000.
In addition to the influx of people, small businesses are pouring into this area. Let’s all support these fabulous local business owners! Together – we radiate the “small town feel” — we are Mooresville!
