My daughter Mitzi and I have loved to cook together over the years and still love sharing recipes. She sent me this one and said it was one of her favorites. I added the ginger and black sesame seeds to give it the extra kick I like. I served it with the Butternut Squash Soup I posted September 11, 2020. In the Bon Appétit, Lifestyle section of LKNConnectcommunity.com. In the summer we like it cold, and hot in the winter. Garlic bread is always enjoyed by everyone!

Most of the ingredients you already have in your kitchen.

Delicious and very refreshing on a hot summer’s night!

This serves 6-8 very hungry salad lovers.

Ingredients for the salad:

2 bags of washed spinach and torn into bite size pieces

2 large kiwis peeled and sliced

1 quart of fresh strawberries washed and hulled.

Ingredients for the dressing:

1 Tablespoon white sesame seeds

1 Tablespoon black sesame seeds – or all white.  I like to use both.

1 Tablespoon poppy seeds

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

¼ cup brown sugar

½ cup olive oil

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon paprika

4 teaspoon minced onion

1 very large tablespoon of Gourmet Garden tube of chunky garlic in the refrigerator section of the refrigerated herbs and veggies.

I also put in about 1 teaspoon of black salt garlic that you can get online savoryspices.com.  Gives it a good little kick.

1 teaspoon of ginger powder.

1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice.

Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl and store in a jar in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it. Combine the spinach, kiwis, strawberries in a decorative bowl. I love serving them on my frozen stainless steel plates. Toss with the dressing and enjoy! Fast easy and delicious.
