MOORESVILLE NC: On Wednesday, Josh’s Market opened for its summer season, which means that you can get fresh, local produce, meat, dairy, and specialty items seven days a week. If you’ve never been to the market, this weekend is the best time to go because it is kicking off the summer with a big grand opening celebration, complete with lots of sampling, vendors, and face painting for the kids!
Granny’s Old Fashioned Donuts will be on hand with its large, yeast-raised, sugar-glazed, made-from-scratch donuts. Two brothers BBQ Sauce will serve grilled chicken so that you can sample its amazing sauce. Shrimp Connection will have fresh shrimp, clams, crab cakes, lobster tails, oysters, scallops, chilean sea bass, cod fillets, black drum fillets, dover, flounder, halibut, and more. Throughout the summer season, expect fresh seafood delivered every Friday at 1pm and it will be available until it runs out on Saturday.
Here’s some of what you’ll find at the market!
But this is really just the tip of the iceberg. Josh’s top five sellers are tomatoes, peaches, elderberry syrup, milk, and honey. Also, it has a variety of cheese, meat, baked goods, jams and jellies, sauces, pickles, nuts, and so much more. Oh, and definitely take home one of Nana’s Pies!
