What is Little Smiles?

“Little Smiles” is a non-profit 501 © (3) organization. We are LOCAL-We are IMMEDIATE-We are HANDS-ON with and through the local nurses, social workers in the NC area- to determine the immediate needs for each child.

Little Smiles provides items such as:

  • Laptops- iPads – birthday parties- chemo parties- character visits- pizza nights- siblings activity bags.  We attempt to furnish whatever the nurses feel the kids need- to put a smile on a sweet little face.
  • At present- we are in Levine Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House-Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital- Hemby, Bloom- St. Jude- Hospice- Interim Home Healthcare- Pediatric Hands-on Therapy- and growing every year in the NC area.
  • We have partnered with the Marines and Toys for Tots program, not just at Christmas but all year round.
  • We also partnered with Samaritan’s feet- to keep the physical therapy floor outfitted in ever size tennis shoe for boys and girls, so their therapy isn’t slowed down.
  • We do our best to keep a storage unit full of toys for our nurses- polices offices- firefighters and in-home therapists to go and take anything their kids might need.
This is where the toys you give us will go. When the nurses visit, they take approximately over 100-250 toys a trip.
