The Lauren Marie Kimsey Foundation for Synovial Sarcoma was created in honor of Lauren Marie Kimsey

Lauren Marie Kimsey – Operation Christmas Child

Who was Lauren? Lauren was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, friend, community leader, volunteer and much more! Her friends would say they are not sure she slept. When Lauren wasn’t at work, she could be found at any Lake Norman charity event.

She donated a lot of her time to some of her favorite charities such as: The Boys and Girls Club of Lake Norman, GIGGLES life group member, create blankets and baskets for the chemo center, Ada Jenkins Center, and Against Hunger food packing to name a few. We knew we had to keep her charitable spirit alive and this is one of many reasons we work so hard on this foundation.

The Lauren Marie Kimsey Foundation for Synovial Sarcoma would not have been able to donate to date $120,000 to Levine Cancer Institute without its sponsors and personal donations. Lauren was very active in the Lake Norman community. We have a lot of sponsors and donations that come from business and community members. Not only do we have monetary donations, we also have businesses that will donate time, tents, drinks, food and items like this to our events.

We would like to say THANK YOU to all of the wonderful people that have played a part in our foundation both present and future. We cannot thank you enough!

Our partner Levine Cancer Institute

Where do your donations go? What did the foundation do with the $120,000 collected to date?

The Lauren Marie Kimsey Foundation for Synovial Sarcoma is a non-profit organization and we partnered up with Levine Cancer Institute to aid in helping to find a cure for synovial sarcoma. All of our board and committee members are volunteers. This allows all of the funds raised to go directly to our cause after administration fees.

We partnered up with Levine Cancer Institute to not only have a portion of the donations go to research, but we also have funds available to assist families battling synovial sarcoma. These funds go to families in need due to the incurred cost of treatment (hotels, facility parking, meals, etc.)
