On October 9th, we launched the 1 Million Cups Lake Norman chapter in Davidson! Our weekly event gathers entrepreneurs, innovators, funders, and the community to discuss topics impacting start up companies…. over coffee. Founded by the Kauffman Foundation, 1 Million Cups is based on the notion that entrepreneurs network and discover solutions over a million cups of coffee.
It was fitting that our first speaker was the CEO of Summit Coffee- Brian Helfrich, who not only discussed challenges to growing the business and entering the franchise space, but sponsored our delicious coffee for the week! Our second meeting headlined Asher Cowan of Dr. Cowan’s Garden- producers of nutrient dense and delicious vegetable powders that can be used as seasonings or spices to add flavor and nutrition to foods you already eat.
