Eight years ago, Heaven gained an amazing young man who touched many lives and changed them forever. He never met a stranger, and though he is gone, he will never be forgotten. Five years ago, I had the honor of meeting Debbie Hunt Dalton and Randy Dalton at a non-profit meeting. When I heard their story, I was deeply touched, not only by their story but also by their love and respect for their son.
Hunter passed away after ingesting a recreational drug that contained Fentanyl. His mother received the worst call any parent could ever imagine. Having just spent Thanksgiving together, Hunter returned home and tried a drug that a friend had given him. Seven days later, surrounded by his parents and friends, he passed away.
If you have children, know or work with children, or are an aunt or uncle, please take the time to read this story. I am profoundly moved by their experience and how it has reshaped their lives and focus. They are genuinely dedicated parents who continue to carry on ‘The HD Life and Dreams’.
Several months after Hunter’s passing, Debbie was cleaning out his dresser when she stumbled upon a note from him—a bucket list! At the very top of the list was his heartfelt aspiration: ‘To save someone’s life!
Debbie and Randy are wholeheartedly embracing Hunter’s Bucket List, living each moment to the fullest. I am immensely proud to know them and witness their dedication to such a meaningful cause. If you’re interested in supporting a great cause and helping The HD Life grow to save lives, now’s your chance!
