Dreams Really Do Come True

Believe in your dreams – they will come true

Sweet Dreams Mattress and Furniture originally planned to celebrate their 20th anniversary on October 1st; however, Hurricane Ian postponed the event until Saturday, October 8th

“The weather was perfect for our outdoor celebration in honor of customers, employees, friends, and family who have supported SWEET DREAMS throughout our journey,” says Katy Law.

The bright blue Carolina sky, cool fall temperature and autumn colors highlighting the trees augmented the experience. Satisfied customers with happy smiles mingled with proud employees as they gathered in the parking lot at 638 River Hwy, Mooresville, NC 28117 (across from Sam’s Club) to celebrate the Law family’s accomplishment.

 The Dream Team

In twenty years, their company – with a foundation of faith, hard work and determination — grew from a 4-person family owned “dream” to a well-known community business employing forty-nine people at FOUR different locations around the Lake Norman area plus a central warehouse in Mooresville.

They are called “The Dream Team.”

Amazing food from local businesses

There were activities for children, corn-hole games, a bounce house and slide from Jump Start Events Lake Norman, party-favor bags for each family, a variety of libations and delicious food for all. The menu consisted of Big Tiny’s BBQ plus side dishes and pizza from Brooklyn Boys Pizzeria In addition, there was an enormous carrot cake from PUBLIX to celebrate two birthdays:  delivery manager Jimmy Hurtado and customer Tom Spurriers.

Sweet Dreams thought of everything. There was even a luxury portable potty trailer from The Plush Flush (a company out of Denver, NC)

Nick & Rich Band

Conversation and laughter could be heard over the magical musical sounds of The Nick and Rich Band playing popular songs loved by all. This talented duo – Nick Belk and Rich Webb – often sing at Flock (129A Marketplace Ave) and Hoptown Brewing Company (107 Plantation Ridge Dr) in Mooresville.

The Secret to Success

The efforts they [the Law Family] have put forth, joined by the support of their family and friends, has resulted in a wonderful organization that is an important part of the community.”  Jim and Kathy Schlesser

Service Above Self

“Everything we do, from the people who work here, to selecting the products we carry, all of it revolves around our core values which is basically to help and to serve others,” says Greg Law.  “Sweet Dreams is more than just a mattress store, it is a group of people focused on making an authentic connection with you [the customer] to help you find the best solutions for your sleep and home comfort needs! Through that connection, we have made lifelong friends who care about each other. Sweet Dreams 20th Anniversary Party was a celebration of those relationships!”

“The community support we received for our 20 Year Anniversary blew us away. We couldn’t have dreamt of a better celebration!” Katy Law states gleefully. ”I heard from several people that they enjoyed the evening because they ran into people they haven’t seen in years, and making connections is what we are all about! Sweet Dreams always has been and always will be a total team effort.”

“Thank you to all who have supported us over the years,” states Greg Law as he gathers the crowd to spotlight his employees. Both he and his wife Katy call their employees FAMILY. “Everybody who is not family – we just ‘adopt them’,” says Katy Law with a giant smile on her face.

Everyone benefits from shopping local

Sweet Dreams is the perfect example of why residents – especially residents of a small town — all benefit when they shop and support local businesses. As the business grows, they give back to the community! In other words – shop local – it is what makes your community strong.
