Robin Smith-Salzman’s Secret Family Cake Recipe!

Stuffed Artichoke Bottoms

The Beloved Chocolate Chip Cake is a family favorite for generations. The most fun part of baking the cake is deciding who will grate the chocolate bar — there are times that we have three graters and three of the grandkids laughing, having fun, and yes making a mess! And no substitutions — it must be the German Chocolate! The ingredients are simple and are always on hand in my kitchen as well as my daughter’s and granddaughter’s!

Ingredients

1 Duncan Hines Yellow Cake Mix

1 package instant vanilla pudding mix

1 cup water

½ cup oil

4 eggs

1 small package chocolate chips

1 German chocolate bar (grated)
