A great place to enjoy good food and a football game!
You can feel the energy in the parking lot as different colored, numbered jerseys walk swiftly in between cars to enter the most “FANtasic” place on earth at this moment in time. The energy is thick in the air as we head into Hickory Tavern on this beautiful Football Sunday!
For the “professional” football fan
Football fans will tell you they bleed differently. They bleed in colors and there is no asking “what are you doing for the game?”! WE are EATING and SCREAMING at the TVs with wings in our hands, beer bottles clinking and sauces dripping on our jerseys.
Yep, it’s a serious problem, I know. I have the fever and won’t give it up for anything. Especially when I can eat my favorite foods doing one of my favorite things at one of my favorite places!
Hickory Tavern is the place to go
There is abundant seating inside or out, a true sports haven with TV’s lining the walls of both. The menu here is like no other sports bar I’ve been to. I can eat Ahi Fish Tacos with an exotic salsa , saucy-covered wings dripping with ranch — as my rival friend (wearing that stupid color jersey) passes me some homemade potato chips that came with her juicy fried grouper sandwich that comes on a buttery brioche bun!
Where can you get Chili lime creama sauce on your fried grouper sandwich?
Well, here of course. Ooooh … and did you say TACOS???
Oh yeah! The marinated pork tacos are covered in crunchy onion straws with a tangy BBQ sauce and crisp coleslaw on top. I can go on and on … into overtime telling you how many favorites I have here.
But, as my team scores …
I’m doing the victory dance!
Our neighboring table fans are screaming RUN! At the top of their lungs … and some are screaming they were robbed! It’s a happy, fun time here. Someone has just ordered another round of cocktails and I am happy to feel like I’m at the game even when I’m not.
