Have you ever received a call from a friend to join them for a super treat after lunch or dinner?
Ellen Stafford called me to see if I could meet her in Birkdale Village for a “real treat”! Morelia’s Ice Cream Paletas.

It has been so hot, and ice cream sounded way too good to pass up. This is not just any ice cream place. It is a true gourmet selection of unbelievable tasty treats.
Kaitlyn, our server, was more than patient and explained all the many choices. I still was not sure what I wanted but went with her advice to order the banana filled bar with Nutella. A choice of toppings was my next big decision. It wasn’t that difficult because I love dark chocolate syrup, nuts, and coconut.
Ellen ordered her favorite vanilla bean ice cream and smothered it with dark chocolate syrup, nuts and coconut topping. We found a place to sit and enjoyed our treat.
There was not much conversation as we were busy enjoying our special treat. If you want a healthier treat- – they have those as well. Fruit bars, Yogurt and Berries, and Cookies and Cream.

I will try them next time. They look delicious as well.
