Reiki Can Help You Heal From an Injury or Imbalance

Injured yourself being active? Reiki can help.

Many of us start to be more active in the spring and summer, only to find ourselves with an injury and the nickname grace. Some will need surgery, while others only need time and care.

Reiki is an excellent modality to use alone or with Eastern and Western healing techniques. It is a Japanese energy technique that assists in balancing the energetic, physical, and intellectual bodies through the intentional movement of energy. One of the best aspects of reiki is that there is no way to overdose.

Reiki is a versatile healing tool.

Adding Reiki to your healing toolkit can help you manage pain while allowing your body to balance itself. Many of the studies on the benefits of Reiki, including a PubMed review of studies in 2014, show there is evidence it reduces pain and anxiety. As far back as 1998, hospitals like Atrium and Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte began to offer Reiki. One of its first hospital uses was for cancer patients undergoing chemo or radiation.

Heal faster with active meditation and a recovery mindset.

Reiki also serves as an active meditation. This meditation practice can help you adopt the best mindset to recover from any injury or illness. One of the most common results of a Reiki session is feeling calmer or more at ease. When the body is more at ease, inflammation is reduced, and the nervous system runs more efficiently. Reiki can help your body better tackle physical dis-ease and energetic or intellectual imbalances, too.

Reiki partners well with other modalities.

Although Reiki is a powerful modality on its own, it also works in partnership with other healing modalities. Many physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and acupuncturists include Reiki practitioners in their practices. Some even become Reiki practitioners themselves to incorporate energetic balancing with other techniques.

I have numerous clients who combine reiki with chiropractic and acupuncture to speed up recovery time from injuries, headaches, and anxiety. In my own healing journey, I combined multiple modalities with Reiki. I’m a big fan of Reiki self-care while receiving acupuncture or chiropractic adjustments.

It could be a Healing Stone away!

Near or far, reiki healing is always available.

You can receive Reiki in person or from a distance. Both techniques are equally effective. Distance Reiki is especially beneficial for those who are bedridden or live far away from a practitioner. The beautiful opportunity to heal through Reiki can occur no matter where you are or the shape you may be in.  If you’re open to receiving the benefits of energy healing, I’m happy to help or connect you with another Reiki practitioner.
