- Guide to Nightlife in Lake Norman
Whether it’s date night, a night with friends, live music, cocktails or simply someplace different to go, Lake Norman has plenty happening. This week, we’re putting a special spotlight on Mooresville, where you can turn Saturday into an entire night out.
But first, there’s a Lake Norman milestone worth celebrating.
Waves Entertainment celebrates its 100th LangTree Live performance — quite a milestone for an event that has become part of summertime around Lake Norman.
Grab some friends, enjoy the music and help celebrate 100 performances of bringing live entertainment to LangTree.

Instead of choosing just one destination Saturday night, why not choose an entire downtown?
Downtown Mooresville’s Entertainment District Evening runs Saturday from 5:00 PM until midnight, with participating businesses offering entertainment, music, drinks, games, specials and more.
Start with dinner. Walk Main Street. Find a cocktail. Listen to some music. Try another stop.
Downtown Mooresville gives you plenty of possibilities for building your own night out.
Saturday, August 22 | 5:00 PM–Midnight
Hungry before you head out? Take a look at the LKNConnect Guide to Restaurants for ideas on where to begin your evening.
And don’t miss MidWeek Eats, where we go hunting for interesting food, local favorites and those Lake Norman places you might not discover on your own.
If you’re looking for something bigger Saturday night, make the concert the centerpiece of your evening.
Blood, Sweat & Tears with guest Jeff Coffey comes to the Mooresville Performing Arts Center Saturday evening.
It’s an opportunity to hear the music behind classics including Spinning Wheel, You’ve Made Me So Very Happy and And When I Die.

Here’s the fun part: you don’t necessarily have to choose between the concert and Downtown Mooresville.
See the show and then head downtown to continue the evening.
That’s a night out.
Mooresville gets our spotlight, but Cornelius has a pretty compelling answer Friday night.
John Waite performs at Lost Worlds Brewing Company as part of the Cain Center for the Arts Lost at the Lake summer concert series.
