“Girls just wanna have fun … oh girls just wanna have fun!” Cyndi Lauper belts it out while dancing around on what looks like a MTV music video. I love this place already! Especially since we are two girls out to have fun. They had both cool music and cool fish! It was a perfect place to chill after our long workday.
Well, as we were served our cool crisp cucumber and strawberry martinis that our fun server Ellie made herself, we couldn’t help smelling what the next table ordered, which turns out to be one of the most popular items served here … the Korean BBQ spareribs.
Of course, we ordered the spareribs along with the fish tacos listed under the “Street taco” section of the menu. They even have specialty cocktails that you only get here! And everything is freshly squeezed and she even muddled my cucumber! Our meal wouldn’t be complete without some cool fish, so we ordered one of their most popular specialty rolls, the “cool fish crunch roll” [feature photo above] — but watch out this one’s not too cool — it’s got jalapeños on it so expect some heat!
We indulged in our Big hair memories and had fun singing along to the tunes in between bites of fresh sushi and crispy, cooked to perfection ribs. I especially loved how fluffy and steamy the rice was — and oh it wasn’t over — the fish tacos were the bomb!
I have to say it’s one of the most relaxing and fun places for a casual dining experience. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere will rock you! Literally.
The sun setting and feeling a light breeze from the open bay doors that separate the outside section reminded us it was time to go. We grabbed our leftover bags, threw on our “sunglasses at night” and left thinking about RICE RICE BABY — no, we’re not stuck in the 80s , but we certainly can’t wait to come back to them — and those Rockin’ Sushi Rolls!
