Need a Terrific Venue to hold a Wedding, Funeral, Sweet Sixteen or A Retirement Event? Sweet Magnolia Estates is The Place for you!

Family owner and run by Kerry Chandler Rathmann and Stefan Rathmann. Located at 10101 Bailey Road, Cornelius, NC 28031. It was built in loving memory of Lenny “Velvet Hands” Chandler. A dear friend of my Husband Lee B Kyle. What better place to have a celebration of Lee’s life than there.

The Property is Beautiful inside and out!

All you have to do is use your imagination and they will create it for you.

For our Celebration of Lee’s life, I wanted it inside and to reflect his love for Family, Friends, Hospice and Hockey!

Flowers were replaced by Hockey Shirts and Players.
Gramps was either Number 1 or sometimes Number 2.

Tim Thompson Paid a Great Tribute to Lee and His Hockey Profession.

I am sure lots more stories were told after the Celebration.

On a Serious Note- Hospice was there and I was so very proud to have them with us.

From right to left: Our Hospice Minister, Rick Felts, Nurse Karen Petty for over 11/2 years, Jim Cooper and Nurses Natalie and Dane Matejka. A terrific team that took such care of both Lee and Me.

Last but not least — a Celebration of Life does not happen without a Funeral Home.

Claudia Kepner, Margi Kyle and John Kepner- Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home
  • Claudia and John Kepner have been friends of ours for over 15 years and they were chosen for Lee’s memorial services.
  • Communication is the key. Agree on who will take care of you. Where you want to go and how are you going to get there. Let your thoughts be known. I know for a fact- My Husband Lee, was sorry he couldn’t come and talk, sing and party. It was everything he wanted down to having it at Sweet Magnolia Estates.
  • Thank Kerry, Stefan, Lois, Taylor, and Cody. You all are the best and it was the best place for us.
A beautiful walk down Memory Lane!
