When you want a truly prime cut of beef …

Epic Chophouse in Mooresville NC is the place to go! It’s an elegant restaurant with great atmosphere and delicious food. Yes, there is a dress code, but it’s simple — “men’s shirts must have sleeves.” It was my first time visiting Epic. My husband Tony has been there several times. We wanted a place where we could have good conversation over a leisurely meal — this restaurant was perfect.

A classic bar

The cozy bar is a lively place tucked on the opposite side of the staircase which keeps the noise to a minimum for the majority of diners.

Elegant atmosphere

White tablecloths, great decor, and friendly, knowledgeable servers. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply want an extraordinary meal, Epic Chophouse’s menu is truly epic!

Appetizers

Shanghai shrimp

We took our server Lucas’ advice and started with the shanghai shrimp. It was more than enough for two. Butterflied shrimp (tails off!) with crispy batter covered in a creamy, Thai spicy sauce. Not very hot, but definitely delicious!

USDA Prime bone-in ribeye

This 22 oz. cowboy cut, bone-in, prime ribeye is the ultimate steak. My husband ordered it medium rare. It came cooked exactly the way he wanted it! There is nothing like USDA Prime steak and it’s an extra special treat.

Brussel sprouts

Sauteéd with bacon. The nice thing about the side dishes is that they are not huge. I always like veggies with my steak and mashed potatoes, and these portion sizes made it so we could order multiple sides.

Ribeye 104 south

I ordered the 14 oz. aged ribeye (medium) with roasted garlic butter and smoked salt accompanied with mashed potatoes and peasant cabbage. It so yummy and came with enough butter to cover the steak AND put more on the mashed potatoes!

Orange vanilla creme brûlée

Okay, I’ll confess …

I only ate half the steak so I would have enough room for dessert! I brought the other half home and it was still delicious, even as a “leftover”.

Creamy vanilla custard with caramelized sugar and a hint of orange. It was perfection.

An unforgettable and marvelously delicious meal

A meal at Epic Chophouse is something to be savored. Take your time and enjoy every bite! I am definitely looking forward to eating there again.
