Restaurant Reviews: Harp and Crown

2 mins read

Or maybe a British Brambleberry?

Whether you’re in the mood for an Irish Guinness, a fruity English inspired concoction (like Heather) or a refreshing cool Cucumber Martini (like me!), the Cocktail Menu at Harp & Crown is sure to satisfy.

The Shepherd’s Pie, belongs to the Phillips family..

That is, the “secret family recipe” belongs to the owners of Harp and Crown and they make one of the most delicious mouth watering Shepperd’s Pies I’ve ever had. The crust is flaky and light, but the fillings are Bang On for the one with a grand appetite! Another Hearty favorite is the “Famous” Harps Battered Fish and Chips. But if you’re looking for a lighter side of hearty you can certainly dive into one of their bountiful salads full of crisp fresh veggies, nuts, dried fruits like Heather did, The Blackened Salmon Cobb that looked almost too good to eat with a house made vinaigrette. The salmon was so juicy and moist it almost deserved its own award.

All the Love of an Irish Pub and more..

The thing the locals love about this place is its cozy dark wood pub style atmosphere inside is so inviting as well as it’s light fun open air patio that sports a large outdoor bar with plenty of tables to enjoy the crisp fresh air. Whatever mood you’re in, there is something for everyone. So, if tonight is the night for hanging out with family, friends, ladies’ night, date night or the solo Lad. You won’t be disappointed and in addition to that hearty food and lip-smacking refreshing cocktail menu, they have entertainment with live music sometimes and there are always sports of some sorts, including soccer playing on the tele!

So ‘Give it a lash” and raise your glass

Here’s to the land of the shamrock so green. Here’s to each lad and his darlin’ Colleen. Here’s to the ones we love dearest and most. May God bless old Ireland, that’s this Irishman’s toast! Slainte!
