Short Story Dinner Series Part Two – A Non-profit Conversation – Closed

The upcoming event follows Part One “A Conversation about Self-Care”, which featured yoga, led by Julie Delesdernier, a delicious meal from local restaurant Cafe 100 and desserts from Katie’s Konfections. We wrapped up the evening with guest speaker, Sandra Stewart, a Naturopath-Holistic Health Practitioner and a self-care giveaway highlighting local businesses that offer opportunities for self-care.

If you missed it – be sure to take advantage of the next installment, entitled “A Non-profit Conversation”. It will take place on Saturday, August 31st from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Lake Norman State Park (759 State Park Rd. Troutman, NC). Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.tbncf.com/events. All community members and nonprofit leaders are invited to attend.

What is a Short Story Dinner?

A Short Story Dinner is an opportunity to come together, learn something, eat delicious food and make a difference, just by showing up. Our mission is to engage the LKN area in a conversation around community support – what that looks like on an individual level and how to strengthen those ties in a growing city.

“A Non-profit Conversation” kicks off with one hour of paddle boarding followed by a light dinner, engaging conversation, and collaboration on a spring non-profit awareness project. The focus of the afternoon is getting to know other non-profit leaders and organizations in the area and discussing ways that we can support the non-profit sector. Registration is required. Visit www.tbncf.com for details.

Who is The Brown Note Community Foundation?

New to the scene, TBNCF is an IRS registered 501(c)3 nonprofit with a mission to empower the individual to make a positive impact and to engage in a conversation around community support.

TBNCF wants to help you make a difference in your own backyard and by doing so, improve the lives of those around you. Proud to be 100% community-funded. Your donations help to fulfill a long-term goal to build P(our)CH, a mobile coffee shop benefiting LKN area schools in need, and keep our programs actively engaged.

All too often the desire to get involved is ever-present, but the “how” is the tough part. Let the TBNCF “Short Story Dinner Series” be your first step in making your “how” happen.
