Kids Love Color Too!

Children react to color just like we as adults do!

I love the kids’ section in Nina’s Boutique, 21714 Catawba Ave A6, Cornelius, NC 28031.

I always enjoyed either taking my children shopping for their clothing as they grew older or bringing several outfits home and giving them the option of selecting the ones, they liked the best.

They react to color the same way we do. When they need to get more active, assertive, inquisitive, respected, enthusiastic, or realistic, they need to wear magenta, red, red-orange, orange, gold, and yellow.

The Warmer color palette

If they need to feel more Investigative, motivated, passionate, visionary, dreamer or kinder, they need to wear lime green, green, teal, blue, indigo, and purple.

The cooler color palette

If they are not sure of how they are feeling or having a fussy day, try neutrals, like whites, grays and tans. All the pastels colors also are very calming.

The same theory goes to decorating their rooms. Let them get involved in selecting the wall colors and accessory colors.

For newborns babies, wait until after the baby is born to see what colors to use in that room. It is a proven fact that babies cry more in a yellow room. Not a good color for any child with colic!

Not a good color selection for a newborn baby.

Pink is the first color babies see- for girls that is great.

Perhaps that is why girls sometimes mature faster than boys!

If you have to decorate their room before you have them- here is your solution. Greens and pinks for girls and blues and greens for boys.

Green or blues work best in a baby’s room, if you want them to stay calmer.
