This is one of my absolute favorites. Easy to make and they are is a hit every time I make them. …and the air fryer can make it so easy and quick. These wings are good for hosting a get-together at your own home or taking the wings with you as a guest at a special occasion. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and plenty of napkins. Let me know how your like them.
3 pounds chicken wings
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion salt
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 tsp ground cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons Greek seasoning
Place a wire rack over a baking sheet and spray the wire rack with cooking spray.
You will simply follow the air frying instructions like you normally do on your air fryer. I cook mine on 370° for a total of 22 to 24 minutes depending on how crispy you like yours halfway through that time I turn them over.
Step 1: lay out the chicken wings on a paper towel and pat dry. In a large bowl or large plastic Ziplock bag, toss the wings with oil.
Step 2: In separate big Ziplock add all the dry seasonings. *Note, leave the cayenne pepper out if you don’t like a lot of heat. There’s plenty of seasoning to have a kick. Add wings to seasoning bag a handful at a time and shake until well coated. repeat until all wings are covered.
Step 3: Place wings on rack over baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes then reduce heat to 325 and bake for 45 minutes. Flipping the wings halfway through remove chicken from oven. (Remember air fryer users just cook as directed per your type of air fryer flipping over halfway and Grill-Masters, do your thing!)
Step 4: SAUCE: in a small saucepan whisk together hot sauce, and honey bring to a simmer then stir in the butter. Cook until butter is melted, and sauce is slightly reduced, which is about two minutes. About this time your mouth starts watering.
Step 5: set broiler to 500° transfer wings to a large bowl and toss with the sauce until completely coated. Return wings to rack (or a foil lined pan) and place under broiler for 3 minutes or until sauce Caramelizes. (You can flip them halfway after a minute and a half if you want to)
Pour a glass of champagne or grab a beer and get this party started! Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and plenty of napkins…!!! (I double the sauce portion because I like to have extra sauce for dipping!) Enjoy!
