F3 Race City is a Mooresville chapter of F3 Nation, a network of free, peer-led workouts for men founded in Charlotte 15 years ago. The movement has since spread across the country, with more than 75,000 active participants.
The organization is named for its pillars of fitness, fellowship and faith. The local chapter organizes group workouts daily, hosts a weekly Bible study session and regularly gives back to the community through volunteer work.

Matt Chapman is co-editor of the Lake Norman Citizen, and also the publication’s sole sports writer, covering all sports at the 15 high schools surrounding Lake Norman. He’s a graduate of UNC Charlotte, where he majored in Public Relations and minored in Journalism, while also serving as Sports Editor for the university newspaper. He’s been in the newspaper business for 10 years, covering everything from local government happenings, elections, businesses and nonprofits to sports and arts and entertainment.
