Lknconnect.com wants to provide our readers with Affordable Dining Tips and ways to Eat Out On A Budget. As a result, I wanted to discuss how to find restaurants that offer half-price wines. As we all know, sometimes the bar bill, or other drinks, can be half the total bill.
The good news is you can use LKNConnect.com’s website to discover places that serve half-price wine, sorted by the day that the specials are offered.
Lknconnect.com has researched and listed over 40 places that offer half-priced wine. In the directory, you can search by day to find out the deals. For example, click on Monday Archives – LKNConnectCommunity to see listing for Monday’s. As mentioned, sometimes half of the bill is to cover the drinks. Of course, you can have water but, let’s face it, a cold glass of beer, glass of wine or your favorite cocktail is preferred. Now comes the trick to saving money.
Many restaurants and bars serve a generous amount of food from these menus. How many times have you gotten your entrée and said, “I am full of bread and appetizers?” Just order from the appetizers menu. The other consideration is to share an entrée. I rarely go out to eat and not have food left over at the end of the meal. Watch the number of people who leave with a to-go box.
To verify some things, I called and talked with one of the managers at Fresh Chef. After describing this article, she shared that many folks use these methods to reduce their bill. I was concerned with splitting an entrée and was assured that the portions are generous and can be served on two plates. Some of you will say that sharing an entrée is just not enough food for us. No problem, just take it up a notch and, order an appetizer and then split the meal. (It will probably fill you up, especially if they serve bread with the meal)
Choose a place serving half-price wine or other specialty drinks, order from the appetizer menu, or split an entrée and enjoy that reduced bill. The Fresh Chef manager said she sees bills under $30 many times.
