As a female entrepreneur with her own strong opinions, Andrea Ervay knows it can be difficult to lean on others for professional guidance.
“I think it can be hard to admit when we can’t do something or might need help,” said Ervay, the owner and operator of TEAM Success LLC in Lake Norman. “As women, we’re naturally inclined to want to wear all the hats, to do all the things, and figure it out.”
But to get a new business off the ground and sustain flight, you have to be open to suggestion, she said. It’s a concept Erway and two other collaborators aim to drive home in their upcoming Launch Her Business Mentorship program.
Seats will be available for 10 participants in the next round of the 12-week venture, which is being organized now. Budding entrepreneurs will take part in the step-by-step initiative through weekly sessions, using a detailed workbook to learn about strategies for business success. They will also benefit from extensive networking opportunities during the process.

In her experience as a success coach, Ervay said she has learned that every woman has certain personality traits and characteristics that make them unique. The key for budding entrepreneurs is to lean into the responsibilities those strong traits are built for, and delegate the rest.
“You have to create that all-star team so that you can do what you’re good at, and allow others to lift you up,” she said.
Ervay is teaming up to provide the mentorship with two fellow local professionals, Chanell Aguilar and Kirsten Gallagher.
“When we started chatting about all of our strengths and weaknesses, it was an easy collaboration, because we each have different zones of genius,” she said. “Our goal is to help you put your business plan together and see how you can monetize it.”
