- The Financial Advantage
Just a few staples in my kitchen that I couldn’t live without.
These few items make all the difference in my updated recipes. Try them and see for yourself. Let me know your thoughts. We always have new products being created to make our cooking and dining experience more enjoyable and easier.
Serves 6-8
Olive oil, for sautéing
2 stalks celery, finely diced
1 onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon of black garlic powder from Savory Spice Shop
3 pounds ground beef and ground turkey – I use half and half.
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground oregano
15 ounces spicy Bloody Mary mix, plus more if needed
¼ cup vodka, optional- I sometimes put in wine instead of the vodka
1 tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning
Several dashes Tabasco, or to taste
Several dashes Worcestershire sauce, or to taste
One 15-ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
One 15-ounce can pinto beans, drained and rinsed
Serve and enjoy. Great as a dinner by itself or with a salad. Great for parties. Make a day ahead — it’s easily re-heated. It also freezes well.
