it’s a mindset sandy bowers – founder, owner, and buyer of MINE by sandy – firmly believes. and one that has evolved over the years, much like sandy’s passion for fashion, which began in her previous career as a critical care nurse and later in medical sales. it was her experience in the latter and the need to find a specific wardrobe that led her to open the colorful and welcoming fashion haven and spurred the philosophy, “make MINE yours.”
her innovative approach to fashion also extends to her workspace, which is prominently featured in the boutique and includes a comfortable seating area and bar. this allows sandy and her team the opportunity to carefully curate outfits that are tailored to fit and individual’s lifestyle.
raised in greensboro, n.c., sandy and her husband bobby also serve their community through various philanthropic efforts including the leukemia and lymphoma society, local animal shelters and rescues as well as area schools. the first recipients of a scholarship named in honor of bobby and sandy’s fathers, graduated from davidson college in may 2019.
