- LKN Front Porch Report
Locally owned and operated for 32 years as a family and veteran owned business. We have long-term employees; but we continually search for the best talent we can find. We are in your community for the long haul and love the relationships we have built.
The Straders are also involved in the community. We are members of both the Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce and the Matthews Chamber. Sonya has served on the Board of Directors of the Matthews Chamber and Adam is now serving on the Board. We also support other non-profits in a variety of ways.
After graduate school, military service and 16 years as a college professor, Max and Sonya Strader returned to North Carolina in 1992 and settled in Charlotte to own and operate CottageCare #11. Max grew up in Winston-Salem and he and Sonya were high school sweethearts. His dad owned a service station and Max Jr. grew up pumping gas and detailing cars. Now it was going to be detailing houses
Max’s vision was a multi-generational family veteran owned and operated business. As of today, all three sons and two daughters-in law have been involved. The oldest son, Gary, manages the LKN office and youngest son, Adam, manages the south Charlotte location. Both offices are guided by traditional family values, commitment to excellence and empathy for employees and customers. In addition to the three sons, Max and Sonya have 7 grandchildren.
