The Sons of the American Legion SQ 86 in Cornelius is partnering with Purple Heart Homes in Statesville to host a Poker Run fundraiser on June 5th.
Purple Heart Homes is a 501(c)3 public charity founded in 2008 by John Gallina and the late Dale Beatty, who were wounded in combat while serving together in Iraq. After being injured in 2004, they returned to their homes and received grateful support from the community. They both made it their mission to pay it forward to their fellow Service-Connected Disabled Veterans of all ages and eras by providing housing solutions to meet a Veteran’s disabilities or helping a disabled Veteran obtain the dream of home ownership.
Purple Heart Homes has a strong history of supporting Veterans with housing solutions. This Sons of the Legion chapter is relatively new and is also focused on helping Veterans. Purple Heart Homes is partnering with Sons of the American Legion Squadron 86 to host the first annual “Honor Ride” – a Poker Run that will take place on June 5th. Here are the details:
Please join us on June 5 for a fun event for a great cause to help our Vets!
