It’s not easy getting a book published, there are unexpected challenges and surprising blessings along the way. In an LKNConnect video interview, Melanie Houston, publisher and author of My Afrikah Hair, tells us about her original poem which was the inspiration for her book and how that poem grew into the story, illustrated with the art of Bahamian native Philece Roberts, that she holds in her hands today.
