LKN Live Music Scene w/ Colin Furcht – July 24, 2025

LKNConnect’s on-camera talent Margi Kyle and I had just finished interviewing Katrina Teague of Charlotte Vintage this morning and we were ready for some lunch. We both had other appointments later in the afternoon so we only had a limited amount of time. Kung Foo Noodle in Birkdale Village was the place to go!
Tables with red chairs and lots of fun artwork on the walls give this place it’s wonderful charm.
I love hot tea — especially when it’s good. I ordered the Jasmine and Margi ordered the Ginger. The jasmine is light and flowery-scented, just the way I like it. Margi’s ginger tea was spicy with an extra zing! Also delicious.
You can order the summer rolls with shrimp, grilled chicken, grilled pork or tofu. They are beautifully made and come with two sauces, a slightly sweet peanut sauce and a spicy sauce — both were a perfect complement to the two rolls that come with each order.
Both Margi and I ordered our favorite soup — Curry Kick! It is packed with chicken, herbs and string beans in a coconut curry broth. I like to order mine with extra veggies. In addition to the meat and veggies, it is filled with luscious noodles.
Our service was quick and friendly and as always the food is delicious. There are many more choices on their menu including soups, rice bowls, fried rice, stir-fried noodles, sushi and sashimi. We hope you’ll stop by for lunch or dinner!
