For Natalie Ramos, a native of the Caribbean island Trinidad and Tobago, writing has been a passion since she was very young.
“After collaborating with other local authors and their books, I was inspired and decided to take the time to publish my own, so that I could share my dreams through words with others.”
—Natalie Ramos

Ramos is looking forward to the Local Author Showcase not only to network with other local authors like herself, but also so that she can educate the public.
“I am looking forward to reading some of my poems and sharing a copy of my work with others, meeting other local authors like myself, interacting with and educating the audience on how to become a publisher, and just getting feedback on their views of my book and personal interest in writing their own story,” she said.
Jack Grossman loves writing, from songs and creative writing to advertising copy. He has always thought about writing a book, and became close friends with Charlene Schiff, the subject of his book, “Child of the Forest,” during the 12 years it took him to write it.
“When I heard a story [of Charlene Schiff] firsthand at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, I knew immediately that this was a story that needed to be told to the world.”
—Jack Grossman

“It is an amazing story of love, hope, and survival of a young girl during humanity’s darkest time,” he said.
