Whether you have just moved to Mooresville or you have lived here all of your life – – this unique month-long event in June is a great way to enjoy Downtown Mooresville.
This creative community scavenger hunt is a fun adventure to do on a date or with family, friends — or alone – – especially if you like to shop — discover boutiques and specialty stores — or find new places to eat.
1. From June 1st to June 30th, go to any of the participating businesses (listed below) and pick up a Normie Passport.
2. Visit each location and collect a store stamp or initial for each Normie sighting.
3. ALL AGES CAN PLAY! Keep in mind – this is not just a “game” – it is a fabulous way to spend time with friends and family – make sweet memories AND get to know our beloved Mooresville.
4. When you have finished “stamping” every location on your “passport tracker”, return it to Normie Headquarters – which is Fred & June’s Books (located at 248 N Main St – across from The Charles Mack Center.) Your completed passport will enter you into the grand prize drawing (More detail about prizes included below)
5. Winners will be announced in July!
“We’ve been here five years and this is our first time being a part of something like this. I love how it’s bringing so many families into our shop while also bringing the downtown community together even more,” Lauren Franks – owner of NEW Things.
Cyn Tucci’s and Mooresville Ice Cream are participating in the Scavenger Hunt. Both businesses are the perfect place to pick up a treat to savor while you play the game!

“We’re finally doing our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in conjunction with our one year anniversary. Come! Join us on Thursday, June 13th at 2:00,” states Erin Clark – owner of The Garden Room. “We will have discounts and refreshments.”
Finisher Prizes: The first 250 people to visit all 25 participating local Downtown Mooresville businesses and turn in their completed passport will win a prize. Turn in your passport at Normie Headquarters, which is Fred & June’s Books at 248 N Main Street (across from the Charles Mac Center)
Weekly Prizes: Keep an eye on social media because there are WEEKLY PRIZES throughout June — available from some of our “Feature Businesses.” These prizes are in the form of gift cards, etc.
Grand Prize(s): This prize, an assortment of gift cards to a variety of local Downtown Mooresville businesses, will be awarded via a drawing at the conclusion of the Find Normie Scavenger Hunt (AFTER June 30th).
Don’t forget to go to the participating businesses on Broad Street. This is a fabulous way to keep the kids busy and discover some new stores too! NOTE: Sometimes Normie is difficult to find and sometimes you will see him as soon as you enter the store.
If participants visit AT LEAST 14 businesses, they will receive THREE entries to win a GRAND PRIZE. If a participant visits ALL 25 businesses – that individual will receive SIX entries for the GRAND PRIZE – and your chance to WIN will DOUBLE!
A total of 3 Grand Prizes will be awarded (One Prize of 7 Gift Cards, Two Prizes of 5 Gift Cards)
This Adventure is open to ALL AGES; however, if you are a winner – you must be at least 18-years-old. If you are younger than 18 – you must be accompanied by an adult to pick up your prize.
And . . . the best perk of The Finding Normie ADVENTURE is . . . the game does not cost you a penny! It’s FREE and it is a wonderful way to support our town AND make MEMORIES with FRIENDS and FAMILY!
